Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is an umbrella term used to describe a set of behavioural and cognitive skills related to character education, youth development, and behaviour. This eLearning course will provide an introduction to social emotional learning by way of learning about the following:

• The concept of SEL and its 5 core competencies.
• Your personal SEL skills and opportunities.
• How unconscious biases can impact on teaching, and the importance of actively seeking to understand and address the cultural or social realities of diverse individuals, groups, and communities.
• General strategies to implement SEL in ways that best support respect, equity, and inclusion.
